Mongol Pencil Supports Happy Pencils and Thousand Hugs

Manila, Philippines - Star 360 Philippines, the exculsive distributor of Mongol pencils donated cases of pencils to the Happy Pencils and Thousand Hugs: A Pencil and Toy Drive Project.

It has always been Star 360 Philippines, Inc.'s advocacy to push through Literacy."Happy Pencils and Thousand Hugs Pencil and Toy Drive reminded us of our Isang milyong lapis para sa Isang milyong pangarap program.This drive was parallel to our goals  so we made sure we get to help in the best way that we can" said Star 360 Representative.

These pencils will be donated to The Black Pencil Project, Black Pencil Project is a collective initiative to provide pencils (and other light school materials) to public elementary schools in remote communities (accessible by foot) across the country through resources mobilization. It aims to encourage localized participation, individual commitment of goodwill, in support to government education programs in the countryside.



Part of the donation was also shared to "The Kariton Klasrum". The Kariton Klasrum was the well-known project of Efren Peñaflorida, The 2009 CNN Hero of the Year. The goal of it was to help kids that stopped formal schooling due to poverty, lack of interest and the like.
